We haven’t quite finished our farewell post so come back tomorrow for the end to our project.

I'm an aspiring freelance writer and blogger (which doesn't make a ton of sense when you think about it). I started a blog called Our Marriage Project and one about OSU called Pistols Firing. I love both of them, and I love my wife. And I love Kevin Durant, Explosions in the Sky, Tim Riggins, Blue Moon ale, Twitter, and the state of Georgia.

  1. I loved reading your story. I haven’t read through the whole year, I am one coming from SCL, but the story was spectacular – especially the engagement video.

I have been married for 20 years. Marriage is hard. It doesn’t matter how much of a Christian you were are or will be, you are always going to be human and full of flesh. Marriage is a picture of justification and sactification – The Marriage of the Lamb. We get “married” as a one-time event. Then we are married. But we have to work out that marriage every day – being married – becoming more married together. Marriage, like life, is another opportunity to crucify our flesh, to glorify God, and to become more like Him as we become more like each other. It is a LOT of compromise – but not to “her” way, or “his” way, but God’s ways.

Many, many blessings to you (corporately), as you strive and wrestle, laugh, cry, live, and love to stay married and glorify God.
